Can Worms Drown??

Can a worm drown? No! Worms can breathe oxygen through their skin. If a worm is in the ground, it can pull oxygen out of the moisture in the air around it. If it is surrounded by water, it can still breathe. It can pull oxygen out of the water and into its body. It doesn't matter if your worm is in water or the air because it can get oxygen from both. Happy Worming!!

Do Worms Have A Nose?

Do worms have a nose? Of course they don`t! I mean, have you ever seen a worm with a nose? I think not! So then how do they breath?? Worms don`t have lungs, so they breath through their skin. After that, the oxygen goes straight into their bloodstream. Worms have to be wet in order for the oxygen to get  into their body. But, if your worm is too wet it will drowned, or if your worm doesn't have enough water, your worm will suffocate. But if the water has lots of oxygen in it, it can breath. Happy worming!

To start.....

If you want to keep a worm alive the first step is to find a worm. The best time to find a worm is in the summertime. You will still be able to find them in the winter but it will be harder. Then you have to find a place to keep them/she/he.The best place is box with air holes in it.You need to put in dead leaves, dead plants, and dirt.
You can keep your worms inside or out side. It dos not mater. But,in the winter you have to take you worms inside because they will get to cold.In the winter YOU MUST keep your worms warm or else they will get cold and try to find a warmer place. And that is bad news. DON`T try to find out.Worms will eat dinner scraps as long as they are not greasy and they won`t eat meat.(Read another Blog about worm food.)Happy Worming!
